Add-On Round 1: Let's Play Add-On Competition Details:

You'll be partnered with a climber in the same experience level bracket as you (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and compete in games of “Add-On” on one of our Spray Walls.

This is not a traditional bouldering competition where there are set routes! Rather, using our 30-degree + Cave Spray Wall (for the Advanced Bracket), 10-degree Spray Wall (Intermediate Bracket), and Grasshopper Wall (Beginner Bracket), each pair creates its own routes.

  • Pairs begin with Rock, Paper, Scissors for who starts. Winner goes first and picks start holds and feet rules (open feet, feet follow hands, set feet, no feet)

  • Competitor 1 does a move, then the competitor 2 “adds-on” a move, proceeding until one person cannot complete the moves as the route progresses.

  • As the difficulty of the pair-created route progresses, competitors will have 3x tries to complete moves, and a limit of 3-minutes rest time between tries.

  • 30-minute time limit per-round.

  • We will have both winners and losers brackets so all competitors can compete numerous times throughout each night.

When one of the pair wins, they advance in the bracket to compete against another winner of the bracket for that night. Depending upon how far each competitor makes it in the bracket for that night will dictate how many points each competitor accumulates for the overall series standings. For every round a competitor completes 100 points are earned per round in the winning bracket and 50 points per round in the losing bracket.
